As discussed at our recent SatM meeting, we are training with a focus on having repeatable results as it relates to masters racing. Translation: by building our ability to withstand higher lactic levels, we will be able to perform multiple races (heats/finals) without suffering a significant drop in performance. To train our bodies to do this, Jorgen, Dimas and I created a training plan that targets training based on Categories of Intensity which use heart rate as a guide. Mike Vopni made us a heart rate calculator which will give you a personal target HR for each level of intensity workout. Please keep this HR in mind while you are working towards your goal.
