This week we prepare our cardio for our upcoming head races. Our first 20 minute erg test is coming up in the week following Head of the River (Nicomekl) so get on an erg a few times when you can to reacquaint yourself with this discipline.

Day 1 -  R18 maximum, continuous pressure for 60' or (6-7pm);  after that 5min for recovery, then 1 x 1000m R24 max pressure.

 

Day 2 - Warm up with technical focus from 6 - 6:30pm. Time Trial 1 x 20' @ R22, rest for 10' at SS recovery pace, followed by 1 x 20' @ R24.

 

Day 3 - Warm up. 3 x 2000m (or if windy 4 x 1500m) R28 (head race pace)/ 2 x 500m (last 500m of the head race) 

Saturday Masters - as noted, your Boat Maintenance day on Saturday, September 8. The shells you are responsible for are posted on the wall to the left of the equipment room. Make sure you complete the shell's maintenance page which should be available in the hanging file on the equipment room door.

Sunday Masters - you are welcome to do your boat maintenance on Saturday or on Sunday. To all crews - better to do your maintenance before your race than find out the shoes are shot or you've got a dead wheel on your seat during your race!
