hope everyone had a great race at Portland and you came back with new goals in mind and lots of stories. It is really important after the regatta, when you still remember your race/s, to scroll once again in your memory what happened during the race: starts, the body of the race, the finish etc...and just to think what you could have been done better. Write it down and set it as a new goal.
And meanwhile, the plan for this week is:
Day 1) Steady states. Technical work. Working on the mistakes from the regatta.
Day 2) Warm up, technical work. 4 x 500m R32+ spinning (LIGHT pressure but high rate. The goal is to keep handles moving so that it doesn't have any abrupt velocity
Day 3) Starts. 8 x 250m. (R18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32). The boats are racing side by side.
Another thing I would like to ask is when master's groups mix in different training days, Sunday Masters train on Saturday and vise versa. There is not a problem to mix and train for Day 1 during technical work so everyone could learn from each other but for Day 2 and 3 it has to be a direct invite from the coach to attend the sessions.
