we are at the final week tapering for Beat the Beast event. I know that not everyone is doing it but the training schedule is still the same for the club.
For those who are participating at the event, try to avoid any heavy weights or conditioning type of trainings in the gym. The days that you don't train, try to recover with light intensity at stationary bike and, of course, stretching.
Day 1) Erging. Warm up for 20min. Starts (same as last week) 4 x 3 strokes maximum power; 1 x 40" (starts + transitions); 5 min rest; 1 x 5' @ Base split + 4" R28; rest 5'; 1 x 1000m @ 2k+ 3" racing rate;
Day 2) Erging. Warm up for 20min. Starts 4 x 3 strokes maximum power; rest 5min; 1 x 22 strokes - transition (12 strokes start sequence + 10 strokes transitions to 2k+1"); 5 min rest; 1 x 750m @ 2k+ 1" @ racing rate;
Day 3) For those who is not going to Beat the Beast and staying at the club to row, it's 5 x 1000m R20/22/24/26/28; 1 x 250m sprint;
