Week 9 - March 28-April 3

Workouts are designed for on water until the fall. Details of the practice focus are given on the dock prior to the rowing times so try to be at the club at 5:50pm weeknights and 7:50am Saturday mornings for the briefing.

Announcements:

1) We will not be holding a technique camp at VRC this spring/summer but we are going ahead with the Time Trial on April 30. Please sign up as soon as possible [ie: don’t sit on the fence - just jump in. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity for you to row as fast as you can on a buoyed course prior to sprint race season. Even if you think you won’t do well - who knows? This is about you doing your personal best this year and lay down a time so that you can compare how you do through the summer and then again, next spring at next year’s Time Trial. Sign up here.] This is also a useful tool for your coaches to help suggest crews for the upcoming races.

2) Coach Jorgen is offering 1to1 coaching every other Tuesday, starting next week. Sign up here. These sessions are 30 minutes long and are in the Rio 2x. This is your opportunity to gain ‘boat feel’ with direct feedback from your coach. These sessions are useful for all/any SatM rowers.

3) Movement Screen Review - If you participated in the Movement Screening previously conducted by Coach’s Dimas and Jorgen and would like to have them review your progress, please sign up here and meet them in the gym after rowing practice this Thursday, March 30.

4) Many of us SatM are racing this Saturday at Head of the Fort in Langley or at San Diego Crew Classic so there will not be a SatM row. If you want to row, please follow all PCOC rules or row at another Masters time this weekend.
