New Rowing Tank sessions open for registration

From Coach Maksym Kepskyy:

Hello team,

This email is to everyone who is interested in signing up to the practices in the Rowing Tank at Richmond Oval during the month of February 2020. If there is enough interest, we can possibly hold two sessions each evening of one hour duration.
So far I am able to commit for 2 weeks training. There is also a possibility that the sessions could be extended to 4 weeks but I will know about it during the first week of our sessions, so stay tuned.
The sessions are going to be held on Wednesdays for sculling and Fridays for sweeping. Sculling dates on Wednesdays are January 29 and February 5, and the Sweeping dates on Fridays are January 31 and February 7. If we continue the sessions for another two weeks, then the dates are going to be February 12 and 19 for sculling and February 14 and 21 for Sweeping.

1. The sessions:  The sessions are one hour long.
When the session times are set (once we determine our numbers), I ask that all participants please arrive 20 minutes prior to their session so that you have time to change, set the oars and do the necessary adjustments to set your feet etc. For those who are doing it for the first time, aim to be at the front desk on the bottom floor at the main entrance. Fifteen minutes prior to the start time I will be taking everyone to the rowing tank.

2. Capacity: 8 people, maximum 12

3. Session description:  The sessions are going to be technique oriented with focus on small detail about hands positioning, proper form and body angles.

If you have some pre-existing injuries or a medical condition, that could be aggravated during rowing tank sessions, I need to know in advance so we could clarify and decide about any adjustments or alternatives you may require.

4. Driving to the Olympic Oval:  Please consider possible traffic on your way to the Oval, give yourself some extra time. If you get late, you won't be able to get to the tank on your own as you'll need an access key to get to that part of the facility. Please be on time.

5. Directions to the Olympic Oval:

6. Parking: The Olympic Oval provides parking inside of the facility. It's $2 for 2 hours to cover the training times. Often it is busy finding a spot to park, so again, come a bit earlier for the first session.

7. Payment:  The total amount for two weeks session is $47.5 for the package of two sessions. If we go for four weeks, it's $95 per person for the package of 4 sessions. To simplify, any form of payment is fine. Please pay me in person on the first day as I will need to cover the rental and the insurance fees before the session starts.

Just in case, my cell phone number is 778-239-1980. If you have a hard time to get there or arrived late, please give me a call or text.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the Oval!
Maksym
