We are finishing this week with 2000m @ R28 before we move on to another training phase.
Make sure you do a prep session (day 1) before doing the test.
Day 1) Steady states for 35 min. While doing 35 min steady states, sometimes after the 25min in do 4 sets of 40 seconds R28 at projected split for the 2000m test. Rest 3min, then do 1 x 750m at your 2k projected split + 1-2 seconds.
Day 2) 2000m R28.
Day 3) Warm up. Meet at the 1000m mark at 8:40am. 1 x 1000m R22 max pressure. 2 x 2000m (R24 for 1000m, then 750m@R26 and last 250m @ R28.
