Not much to write for this week but just one training day before we leave to Portland. We have done most of the work and now it's time to put all the pieces together:
Day 1) Warm up (specific to the race)
The warm up is going to the same one as you would do at the regatta. After you launch, spend 10 min for steady state to focus on your technique, stay relaxed. After that do power pieces at R18, 24, 28, 8-12 strokes each. The purpose of these is to active power. After that you can do spinning at rates 32-34, light pressure, just to move your handles around catch and finish, 8-12 strokes, 1-2 sets. After that you can practice Power 1/3/8 to get prepared for the start sequence. All of that should take you around 25min, assuming that you launch 30 min prior the race. I will explain more during the practice.
1 x 750m R24 full pressure
1 x 1000m race pace (start+ transitions+ racing pace+ sprint).

Friday - New West Masters, Portland
Saturday - New West Masters, Portland
